Starting with the 2022-2023 school year, three of our seven children will attend new schools. Two to primary education (see link) and one to secondary education (see link). At these schools the Dutch system of training is applied. Individual and practical education is also provided in small classes.
It is a conscious decision on our part to have the children attend these schools. We feel that the form of teaching suits their needs well. After all, all of them have their own “backpack” (unable to live at home and most of them are chronically ill).
The cost for this education is high 900 naf (450 euros) per month per child and it is unfortunately not covered by any subsidy scheme, but comes at our own expense. Nevertheless, we think it is very important that the children of Siloam can receive this education.
